Japan to strengthen support for semiconductor industry to regain global position, prime minister, industry minister say

The Japanese government will continue to support the semiconductor sector in order for it to regain a strong position in the global market amid rising tensions between the US and China, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Japan's industry minister told a symposium* in Tokyo today.
