Japan-EU digital partnership discusses mutual investment in chipmakers, data transfer infrastructure, digital IDs

Japan and the EU held their first ministerial-level meeting of the bilateral digital partnership today, where securing semiconductor supplies, reliable connectivity, AI governance and electronic credential systems were discussed.
