Japan DoCoMo may be pressuring distributors to cut smartphone prices, in violation of antitrust law

In an attempt to prevent users from switching to cheaper carriers, Japanese mobile-telecom giant NTT DoCoMo may be directing its distributors to reduce the price of iPhones.

According to Japan’s business magazine Weekly Toyo Keizai, the country’s top mobile carrier has pressured its storefronts to forego charging its customers the extra fees
