Irish online safety law passes, creating new regulator

Ireland has passed its online safety law, creating new regulators with responsibility for enforcing binding codes on harmful online content and supervising the EU’s Digital Services Act.

President Michael Higgins signed the Online Safety and Media Regulation Bill into law on Saturday, the government said.
