Indian Supreme Court upholds antitrust watchdog's jurisdiction in lottery business

India’s Supreme Court upheld the jurisdiction of the antitrust authority in the investigation of anticompetitive practices in the lottery business.
Although lotteries are a regulated commodity in India under the Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998, the court said the Competition Commission of India, or CCI, has jurisdiction to investigate anticompetitive practices
