IAG again seeks EU approval to buy rival Air Europa

International Consolidated Airlines Group has returned to the European Commission to seek authorization to acquire its Spanish rival Air Europa, according to a statement from the company this evening.
The regulator is expected to set a Jan. 24 deadline to decide on the deal.
