Hitachi gets EU approval to buy ABB's power-grids business

Hitachi has won unconditional EU approval for its plan to buy ABB’s power-grids business, according to an update on the European Commission’s register of cases today.
Japan’s Hitachi filed the deal to the commission on April 20 and the commission cleared the deal yesterday, the update said.
