Hacker details 'extortionate' dealings with Uber as US trial of security chief continues

Uber engaged in a fraught negotiation with hackers who demanded $100,000 after they leveraged the online accounts of Uber employees to breach the data of millions of the company’s users, according to testimony in the trial of former Uber security chief Joseph Sullivan today.
