Google appoints former antitrust official to head public policy in India

Google has recruited a former official from the Indian antitrust regulator to be its government and public policy head for India. The appointment comes at the same time as Google faces antitrust investigations in India, and as the country’s lawmakers draft more stringent data and privacy policy regulations.
