German companies see lower GDPR penalties due to pandemic, state data watchdog says

Companies in the German state of Baden-Württemberg have seen a substantial easing of the GDPR fines imposed on them due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and lack of financial means, the state data protection authority has said in its 2021 annual report.
