GDPR's widely used 'legitimate interests' data-processing rule to be tested at EU's top court

A key provision of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation that is relied on by some of the world’s largest businesses is to have its limits tested by the EU's top judges. 
A Dutch court today referred questions to the EU Court of Justice on the interpretation of “legitimate interests,”
