Gas producer EQT pulled, refiled premerger form for $35 billion vertical deal amid US FTC scrutiny of energy transactions

Natural gas extractor EQT revealed in a securities disclosure form today that it withdrew and resubmitted premerger antitrust paperwork April 22 to federal authorities for its planned $35 billion vertical merger with gas transporter and storage provider Equitrans Midstream, triggering a new, mandatory 30-day antitrust review waiting period.
