FTC commissioner calls for focus on accountability of big-company executives in US privacy probes

A US Federal Trade Commission member said the enforcer needs a better focus on the individual accountability of executives in its privacy investigations of big companies, suggesting that a corporate accountability law like the 2002 Sarbanes-Oxley Act could deter privacy and security violations.
