FTC bars data broker X-Mode Social from selling sensitive location data, restricts other location-data sharing

The US Federal Trade Commission barred data broker X-Mode Social from selling “sensitive” location data and restricted its use of more general location information in a first-of-its-kind settlement today unanimously approved by the commission's three members.
The agreement bars X-Mode Social and its successor Outlogic from selling sensitive location data
