Europe leads in 5G tech innovation, isn't behind in deploying 5G networks, Breton says

"Europe isn't late" with the deployment of fifth-generation mobile networks and has an edge over the US and China in 5G technological innovation, Thierry Breton, the EU's internal market commissioner, said today.

"We have large European companies that can do it. And for the others, we're not closed to anyone,"
