EU won't 'sacrifice principles' for UK trade deal, Barnier warns

The EU "will not sacrifice its principles for the sole benefit of the UK," the bloc's chief Brexit negotiator stressed today, accusing the British government of "not engaging constructively" on conditions for a comprehensive trade deal focused on a regulatory level playing field and fisheries.
