EU state aid for chipmakers hinges on how 'cutting-edge' their plans are, leaked Chips Act says

Chipmakers seeking EU subsidies to build factories producing “cutting-edge” chips will need state aid approval, but subject to criteria such as a project's overall economic benefits from innovation, according to a leaked draft of the European Chips Act seen by MLex.
