EU should capture 450 million tons of CO2 per year by 2050, draft strategy says

The EU should aim to capture up to 450 million metric tons of carbon dioxide per year by 2050, according to a draft of the bloc's industrial carbon management strategy. The document does not give a target for 2040, but one graphic in it suggests a figure well above 250 million
