EU needs more Latin American trade engagement to counter China, foreign policy chief warns

The EU must boost its trade relationships with South and Central America and the Caribbean as a priority to counterbalance increasing Chinese influence there, the bloc's foreign policy chief has urged.

Josep Borrell called also for final approval as soon as possible of upgrades to its trade and association agreements with Mexic
