EU lawmakers adopt sustainability due diligence position, setting up talks with governments

A compromise position for the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive was adopted by the European Parliament today after voting in a plenary session.
A total of 366 parliament members voted in favor of the compromise negotiated by Dutch social democrat Lara Wolters, and 225 against*, while 38 abstained.
