EU foreign-benchmark regime delayed two years, but industry hopes for more

EU benchmark rules restricting the trading of foreign financial indexes will be delayed for at least two years, under plans passed by lawmakers today — but the industry is hoping that will be just the first of a series of legal and practical reforms to the bloc's controversial benchmark regulation.
