EU designates six Big Tech companies and 22 services under ‘gatekeeper’ law

Alphabet’s Chrome browser, Meta’s advertising business and ByteDance’s TikTok platform are among 22 “core platform services” today formally designated as important gateways to online power and warranting stricter regulation.
