EU battery sector to see EUR900 million research boost next month, Šefčovič says

Battery makers in the EU will get 900 million euros ($1.1 billion) in research and innovation funding in April, commissioner Maroš Šefčovič has said, as the EU strives to become second only to China in battery-cell production by 2025.
