EU antitrust chief Vestager to run for top post at European Investment Bank

EU competition and digital chief Margrethe Vestager is a candidate to run the European Investment Bank following support from the Danish government, the commissioner confirmed today.

Matthew Newman is a chief correspondent for MLex and writes about data protection, privacy, telecoms, cyber security and artificial intelligence. Matthew began his journalism career in 1991 in community newspapers. He worked as a reporter in Riga, Latvia in 1993 and then moved to Chicago where he covered local news.
