EU 2030 emissions target between 50 and 55 percent is 'doable,' Timmermans says

An EU-wide emissions cut of 50 to 55 percent by 2030 compared to 1990 levels is “doable,” the bloc’s climate chief Frans Timmermans has said, adding that updating the Emissions Trading System would be a key tool to increase the EU's climate ambitions over the next decade.
