Covid-19 impact to be factored into EU's 2030 climate plan, official says

An EU climate policy plan to set an emissions target for 2030 will take account of the Covid-19 crisis, an official said today.

The upcoming plan, due in September, will also provide first indications on the possible extension of the bloc’s Emissions Trading System to the transport and buildings sectors,
