Collection of scooter data by Los Angeles constitutes unwarranted search, rider tells US Ninth Circuit

The Los Angeles transportation department's collection of scooter ride data by itself falls into the category of unconstitutional searches, even if the authority doesn't share the data with third parties or process it in any way, a scooter rider suing the regulator told a US appeals court.
