Claro, OI, Telefônica Brasil fined 783 million reais in CADE multimedia communication probe

Telecom firms Claro, OI Móvel and Telefônica Brasil have been fined a total 783 million reais ($153.1 million) by the Brazilian competition authority for engaging in anticompetitive practices when they formed a consortium to secure multimedia communication service contracts with the state postal company, state bank, and Brazil's Communications Ministry.
