Celanese files $11 billion acquisition of DuPont’s engineering polymers business for EU review

Chemical producer Celanese has requested EU approval to acquire rival chemical company DuPont’s engineering polymers business for $11 billion, according to an update today on the European Commission's register of deals.
The EU regulator has set a Sept. 27 deadline to decide on the transaction.
