Cartel leniency requests wane amid lawsuit risks, Bundeskartellamt chief says

Fewer companies are blowing the whistle on cartels in the hope of lenient treatment, Germany's top antitrust regulator has said, meaning an increased focus on other ways to uncover collusion.
In 2020, the Bundeskartellamt received 13 leniency applications, Andreas Mundt told a press conference* unveiling the authority's latest annual activity report.
