Card-scheme rules for digital wallets prompt EU antitrust scrutiny

Possible curbs by card scheme owners on the use of new payment methods introduced by digital challengers have come under EU antitrust investigation, the European Commission has said. 
It is concerned about the rules for payment cards interacting with digital wallets, according to an annual report on competition policy.
