California legislature passes privacy bills regulating health, medical information

The California legislature passed two privacy bills related to the sharing and protection of health and medical information late Monday night as the legislative session ended in the midst of a global pandemic.

One bill, AB 713, aims to ease the burden for medical researchers of complying with the California Consumer Privacy Act
