California expands security, privacy protections around genetic data

As the number of companies collecting and storing genetic data grows, California lawmakers are expanding protections around the privacy and security of genetic information.
Companies that do business in California and maintain personal information will now have to disclose a breach of genetic data. Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill
