Brussels financial-reporting norms for non-EU companies need improvement, ESMA says

EU rules on financial reporting by companies from outside the bloc need to be improved, the European Securities and Markets Authority has said — potentially making the 2004 Transparency Directive the latest target as the EU seeks to beef up how it monitors foreign jurisdictions post-Brexit.
