Broadcom buy of VMware gets final clearance from UK merger enforcers

US chipmaker Broadcom's planned $69 billion buy of cloud computing company VMware has been cleared by the UK merger regulator, giving the technology firms a fresh boost after EU enforcers approved the deal last month.
