Brazil's CADE closes antitrust probe into deals related to soccer teams Botafogo, Cruzeiro

The Brazilian competition authority has closed two investigations into whether national soccer teams Botafogo and Cruzeiro should have notified the agency about deals involving purchases of their stocks by investors.

The Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, found that the transactions did not meet the country’s merger threshold for revenue. CADE
