Brazil Attorney General Mendonça appointed to Supreme Court; Senate must approve nomination

Brazil Attorney General André Mendonça has been appointed to the Supreme Court. President Jair Bolsonaro made the official appointment yesterday in a publication in Brazil’s Official Journal, but Mendonça must still be vetted by the Brazilian Senate before taking office.
