Big Tech privacy officers say US unlikely to pass federal privacy legislation soon

The odds that Congress will pass US privacy legislation in the next two years are slim, top privacy officers at Microsoft, Google and Apple said at a privacy conference today.
“Don’t hold your breath,” said former FTC Commissioner Julie Brill, Microsoft’s chief privacy officer.
