Big tech mergers can expect tougher Italian scrutiny, says antitrust chief Pezzoli

Big tech dealmakers can add Italy to the list of hard-nosed competition authorities that want to control their ambitions, according to the head of the Italian regulator.
 
“After ten years of under-enforcement, we have to do something, especially as far as merger control is concerned,” Andrea Pezzoli said at a conference*
