BBVA to go to Spanish Supreme Court over EUR5 million data protection fine

A data protection case against Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria will go to the Spanish Supreme Court, following an appeal by the country’s data watchdog.
BBVA received a fine of 5 million euros ($5.5 million) for violating the General Data Protection Regulation in 2020 by sending unrequested and unauthorized advertising material,
