Bank Banese under scrutiny for data breach in Brazil

Sergipe state bank Banese is under investigation by the Brazilian data protection authority for allegedly exposing data from users of Pix, an instant payment platform.
The Central Bank of Brazil and the National Consumer Secretariat are also investigating the incident.
