Australia rolls out criminal charges for alleged auditing failures for the first time

Australia has opted to file criminal charges for the first time in a case involving alleged breaches of the country’s auditing standards, the country’s corporate regulator said today.

Audit company EC Audit, previously known as Bentleys NSW Audit, and its director Robert James Evett each face three charges relating to their audits
