Arçelik and Whirlpool file JV plans for EU review

Arçelik and Whirlpool have requested EU approval to merge their European major domestic appliance businesses, according to an update today on the European Commission's register of deals. The regulator has set a Oct. 23 deadline to decide on the deal.
