Aon appears set for in-depth EU review of Willis Towers Watson deal

Aon has skipped a chance to offer concessions to EU merger regulators over its plan to buy rival insurance broker Willis Towers Watson, indicating that the company is extremely likely to face an in-depth review.

The move means the European Commission has until Dec. 21 to decide whether to clear the deal unconditionally
