AMD, Xilinx deal wins China's clearance with conditions

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices has received conditional  Chinese approval for its proposed acquisition of semiconductor counterpart Xilinx, China's antitrust regulator said today.
The State Administration for Market Regulation, or SAMR, cleared the deal in a decision dated Jan. 21, according to a statement posted on the authority's website.
