Amazon urges US judge to dismiss privacy claims over Alexa recordings

Amazon urged a US judge to dismiss claims that its Alexa cloud-based voice assistant recorded people’s voices without their knowledge or consent, violating consumer protection and federal wiretapping laws. Alexa users countered that Amazon doesn't sufficiently explain that the purpose of Alexa devices is to record conversations.
