Allstate, National General merger will be reviewed by 12 US state insurance commissions

Allstate’s proposed acquisition of National General will be reviewed by 12 US state insurance commissions, including those in Texas and New York.

Other states reviewing the $3.7 billion merger are Alabama, California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey and South Carolina, according to the Texas Department of Insurance.
