AI issues may require new regulatory framework, UK financial services watchdog says

The UK may need a framework to solve new regulatory challenges posed by artificial intelligence in financial markets, an official from the financial services watchdog said today.

Jessica Rusu, chief data officer at the Financial Conduct Authority, said there are concerns around issues like responsibility, "explainability" and governance.
