Comment: US DOJ plan to update bank-merger guidelines may have little impact unless bank regulators follow suit

A US Justice Department plan to update its framework for reviewing bank mergers would be the first change since the mid-1990s, but banking regulators would need to adopt similar changes for the update to have an impact.
