Comment: UK joining Asia-Pacific trade bloc will bump up car sales — and CO2 emissions

Cars, drinks and tobacco would be among the biggest trade winners if the UK succeeds in joining the Asia-Pacific bloc known as the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership, according to UK government analysis published today.
It expects a potential 3 percent increase in trade with members of the 11-nation grouping
